My name is Michala Milewski, and I am planning to summit Africa's tallest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, in August 2026. I am climbing to challenge the status quo and to raise money for Team Gleason's important cause!

In the summer of 2025, I completed a four day trek on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru. During the most difficult moments on the thru-hike, I was grounded by the thought of the resiliency and determination of my client and friend Jason Flynt. Jason has been graciously battling ALS for years and continues to defy all of the odds stacked against him. Doctors are stunned by his physical capabilities when they consider how long that he has been fighting the progressive neurodegenerative disease. With strong faith and a positive outlook on life, Jason shows that nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it!

When I returned from Peru and decided that I wanted to tackle one of the world's "7 Summits" in 2026, I asked Jason about his favorite ALS research organization. Jason spoke highly of Team Gleason, so I have decided to raise money for this organization in tandem with my journey to the roof of Africa!
