On Monday, March 9th, the York Dukes football team is participating in a charity dodgeball tournament at Franklin Middle School. In years past, the fundraiser was selected by the organizer, but this year, we have the opportunity to support an organization that has special meaning to our program.

We have chosen to fundraise for Team Gleason, an organization founded by former NFL football player Steve Gleason. Since it's inception in 2011, Team Gleason has provided over 10 million dollars in adventures, technology, equipment, and care services to over 15,000 people living in ALS and countless others through advocacy and support to ultimately find an end to the disease.

One of our very own York Dukes football families has been personally impacted by ALS and has received equipment and support from Team Gleason. Our hope is to raise the necessary funds to help Team Gleason continue fulfilling its mission to help families in all 50 states continue to live purposeful and productive lives after diagnosis, like our very own Toole Family.
