Fellow members of No French Fry February! Please join us as we support a phenomenal cause and one that hits a little closer to home this year. This organization helped out the family of a fellow member and friend of many in this small community.
- Team Gleason is an organization dedicated to serving individuals with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) – a terminal neuromuscular disease. When Steve Gleason, a former NFL special teams player for the New Orleans Saints, was diagnosed with ALS in 2011, he made it clear that he wouldn’t give up – on himself, on his family, or on others also living with the disease.
In response to his diagnosis, Steve Gleason and his wife Michel Varisco Gleason founded Team Gleason to empower people with ALS to live purposeful lives. Team Gleason, through its diverse and broad-reaching programming, brings assistive technology, equipment, and robust support services into the hands of ALS patients – to help individuals with ALS not just survive but thrive after a devastating diagnosis. -
Every year we've done No French Fry February we've grown in numbers. Not just in participants but also in money raised for great causes. Please join in for another great year and invite your friends.
We'd like to thank in advance the incredibly strong support and numbers from the following cohorts:
Oberlin, Farmington, Tulane, and Tampa.
Maybe we'll add another this year! Good luck to all!
THE RULES:
First, we ask that everyone make a donation in any amount they are comfortable with to Team Gleason.
1. NO FRIES. This includes hot fries, home fries, and thinly sliced home made potatoes that are shaped like fries. It obviously also includes sweet potato fries, waffle fries, steak fries, and not as obvious, POTATO WEDGES!
2. Hash browns are okay
3. What about TATER TOTS!?! Tater Tots are allowed but you will have to donate an additional $5 for each time you eat them.
4. If you eat French Fries during February you must DOUBLE your donation and face shame on instagram from the community!
